To this date, A Step in Time has not offered franchises. We have considered this idea and still might develop franchises but our reputation is very valuable. A Step in Time is concerned that independent franchises might not have the same “customer friendly” way of doing business. Currently, A Step in Time is very successful and continues to succeed despite various economical conditions. We maintain and demand excellence from our staff. Basically, what is right is right. This is why we have a perfect rating from the Better Business Bureau. This does not mean that we aren’t looking for good people to partner with us. 3) A Step in Time likely has the largest internet presence than any other chimney company in the United States. We continue to be on the cutting edge of technology.

4) A Step in Time has made chimney technician and business management training a science. We wrote the book on exceptional technician training and management skills. What are we looking for?

We sure aren’t looking for problems. This industry is filled with drug addicts and thieves. We drug test at the door and background checks are only $25. A Step in Time looks for the best of the best. Many of our technicians are college educated and have various certifications in the chimney industry. We look for honest, hard-working individuals who want to be part of a team. These individuals could fill roles as small as “helpers” to statewide managers who oversee the development and implementation of business growth. Everyone needs to bring something to the table. Currently, we are in negotiations with various owners of independent chimney sweep companies with good reputations. Our goal is to merge these companies with A Step in Time to form local branches of A Step in Time throughout the United States.
